    2017 R1 Service Pack 4 Fixes and Improvements:

    • Fixed an issue with the Hexagon Notification Center where a crash was possible if the computer did not have an active internet connection.
    • In Inspect 2.5, the ApplicationEvents.OnUpdateStatusMessage("Ready") event was treated as an End of Execution event. As a result, Inspect 2.5 lost synchronization with PC-DMIS. While PC-DMIS was executing the measurement routine, Inspect 2.5 began sending PC-DMIS commands to start the execution. These commands were illegal commands on PC-DMIS execution context and caused PC-DMIS to stop working.
    • The ApplicationEvents.OnUpdateStatusMessage("Ready") event is no longer treated as an End of Execution event.
    • Changed the dimensional summary graph on the Report tab in the INSPECT application to match the one in the Slideshow tab.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS incorrectly stored a modified value for the Distance delta or Time delta option on the Probing tab in the Parameter Settings dialog box for a portable arm interface.
    • Fixed an issue where the CAD surface may not have been available for selection if the cross section plane was on top of the surface when you created a Pointcloud CROSS SECTION operation.
    • Fixed an issue where, at times, the Surface Colormap Minimum annotation color was incorrect.
    • Fixed an issue with the I++ client where the wrist rotation generated wrong moves when the clearance plane was activated.
    • Fixed an issue where the Caliper gage did not correctly use the setting for the Minus tols show negative option on the Dimension tab in the Setup Options dialog box.
    • For Leitz and common controllers, when temperature compensation was turned on in the controller for the workpiece, the MOVABS position command was adjusted by the compensated values. To keep compatibility with FDC, we added new capability to decompensate the position.
    • Fixed a runtime error executing AUTOCALIBRATE with TEMPCOMP in a dual-arm measurement routine.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not properly save a flip to a section in the Blade Scan dialog box.
    • On machines where the geometrical compensation was done in wcompens_2.dll, if the mechanical offsets were defined incorrectly, the laser probe could have moved to a wrong position after a scan was executed.
    • Fixed a design limitation in the remeasure cycle for auto circle features with specific parameters (depth = 0, no sample hits).
    • Fixed an issue where the minimum and maximum values and leader lines for a pointcloud Surface Colormap may not have worked properly. 
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS stopped working when the value for the Grid Size mesh display option was larger than the value for the Max Point Spacing line filter option in the Laser Data Collection Settings dialog box.
    • To avoid sparse data when laser scanning with a portable device, and when the Mesh option is selected in the Laser Data Collection Settings dialog box, the value for the Max Triangle Size option should always be equal to or greater than twice the value for the Grid Size mesh display option in the dialog box; if it was not, most of the data was filtered. If you enter a maximum triangle size that is smaller than the grid size, PC-DMIS uses an internal and appropriate value of two times the grid size.
    • Fixed an issue with the level functionality of quick fixture. If an item had never been moved, a bad vector was used; this caused the item to disappear.
    • Fixed RDS (CAA wrist) support for the CMMOS interface. 


    2017 R1 Service Pack 3 Fixes and Improvements:

    • Fixed an issue with the Hexagon Notification Center where PC-DMIS may have stopped working if the computer did not have an active Internet connection.
    • Fixed an issue where the ApplicationEvents.OnUpdateStatusMessage("Ready") event was treated as an End of Execution event in the INSPECT 2.5 application. As a result, INSPECT 2.5 lost synchronization with PC-DMIS. When PC-DMIS executed a measurement routine, INSPECT 2.5 sent commands to it to start the execution. Those commands caused PC- DMIS to stop working.
    • Modified the dimensional summary graph on the REPORT tab in the INSPECT application to match the graph in Slideshow.
    • Fixed an issue where looped Feature Control Frame (FCF) data did not appear in the Report window when a measurement routine was opened.
    • Fixed an issue where a probe rotation was missing in the tool change cycle in case a LASER probe was loaded and the active probe was not defined in the toolchanger.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS stopped working when a set of laser scan commands was deleted in a dual-arm measurement routine.
    • Fixed memory leaks that occurred when a measurement routine with auto features was closed.
    • Restored the draw of the feature's label after selection when the Auto Feature dialog box is open.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not consider the CAD-provided IDs as requested when you selected points on the CAD from the Auto Feature dialog box.
    • Fixed an application error that occurred when PC-DMIS executed a subroutine command with an empty argument.
    • Fixed an issue where generic lines appeared at incorrect locations in the Graphic Display window.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not automatically create a COP when you used a portable interface with a laser probe and the QuickFeature method to create a laser Auto Feature. PC-DMIS now creates a COP and links the laser Auto Feature to that COP.
    • Fixed an issue where the Mesh disappeared from the Graphic Display window when you selected File | Save.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not use the alignment when you used the Caliper gage with data that had an alignment but no CAD model.
    • Fixed an issue for the AT-402 Tracker interface where the entered values were not properly sent to the controller when the Use Temperature Station setting was deactivated and you manually entered the environmental parameters (temperature, pressure, and humidity).
    • Fixed a defect when you used the Tab key to enter values for a command in the Edit window.
    • Xact Position dimensions are now included in the Out of Tolerance reports if the feature size(s) are out of tolerance.
    • Fixed an issue where you could not edit angle tolerances in the Edit window when PC-DMIS was in Deg/Min/Sec mode.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS stopped working when the Excel output contained a numeric part name, serial number, or revision number.
    • Fixed an issue where the Caliper gage rectangular tip may not have correctly oriented according to the selected height axis.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS stopped working when Caliper gage tolerance values were changed in the Edit window while PC-DMIS was in Command mode.
    • A new function supports continuous scanning at 10 Hz for the AT-403 Leica Tracker. The Probing tab in the Parameter Settings dialog box displays the time and distance values for the continuous scan. The continuous scan can be done with time or distance. To start or end the continuous scan, press Ctrl+I, or use the Operation | Start/Stop Continuous Mode menu option.
    • Fixed an application error that occurred when looped commands were deleted.
    • During the execution of a measurement routine in DCC mode, it is possible to switch the controller to Manual mode and use the jogbox to measure the feature hits. If incorrect hits were taken in this mode, it was not possible to delete the hits from the Execution dialog box or from the jogbox.
    • Prevented an error message from being displayed incorrectly when you used QuickAlign with feature-referenced input features.
    • Fixed an issue where the scanned points taken with the Tracker reflector probe were not visible in the Graphic window until after the scan was completed. To view the points while measuring, the part must be aligned to a CAD model, and the Find Nominals check box must be selected.
    • To avoid conflicts, you can execute a measurement routine only through the Mini Routine dialog box when the dialog box is open. To execute a measurement routine through any other method (for example, through the File | Execute menu option), you must close the Mini Routine dialog box.
    • Fixed a printing issue where multiple color maps did not appear in PDF or printed output.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not correctly export some points in the .PSL file format when contact points were measured in two or more scan features and then linked to a COP.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not process CAD files if Capture nodes were hidden. PC-DMIS now process all Capture nodes, even if they are hidden.
    • Fixed an issue that occurred with limit tolerance dimension colors when the Tolerance Zone Multiplier option was not set to 100%.
    • Fixed an issue where an "X" appeared over the Standard mode button for the AT403 tracker in continuous scan mode (Ctrl+I).
    • Fixed a very specific crash that occurred when the NX DCI configuration was used to load an NX assembly.
    • Fixed an issue using quick start when measuring a feature using the Tracker in continuous scanning mode, where the finish button was not available and the END key on the keyboard did not create the feature.
    • Fixed an issue where the Hide IDs | All menu option on the shortcut menu in the Graphic Display window hid all of the current labels. When you create new features, these feature labels now appear.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS stopped working when you double- clicked on a feature label in the Graphic Display window while the Auto Feature dialog box was open.
    • Fixed an I++ issue where speeds were incorrectly converted when the measurement routine was in inches.
    • Fixed an issue where the End key did not stop a scanning operation and the Execution dialog box stayed open when you re-executed (measured) a feature (such as a sphere) in Tracker continuous scan mode.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS may have stopped working when Notification Center was launched for the first time.
    • For the FCF position of a plane, changed the math from using the least squares corner points to using the maximum deviation of the hits, per ISO 1101. 


    2017 R1 Service Pack 2 Fixes and Improvements:

    • Fixed an issue where sometimes the light tower wasn't detected if the device drivers were incorrectly installed.
    • Included a light tower device scan tool to aide with diagnosing connection problems.
    • Resolved an issue that could have caused some commands to revert to default settings when edited.
    • Fixed an issue where a CAD file may have increased in size when the file was imported as a reference and then saved as a different name.
    • Fixed an issue where the deviations on the Results tab in the Tracker Bundle Alignment dialog box did not display.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS stopped working when the cursor was in a new line at the end of a measurement routine and CTRL+E was pressed.
    • Fixed an issue where all features in the list in the Delete Feature(s) dialog box were selected when the box-select method was used in the Graphic Display window to select only a few features.
    • Restored the Join the Hexagon Customer Experience Improvement Program check box to the installer.
    • Fixed an issue where a variable used in an alignment was not marked during the execution of a feature-based measurement routine.
    • Fixed an issue with the Vision quick feature line edge vector. When the feature was created, the theoretical, actual, and target edge vector values were incorrect, but the actual value was corrected when the feature was executed.
    • Fixed an issue where quick features taught in the Live View after a CAD alignment used machine coordinates.
    • Fixed an issue where random clicks around the application with the Iterative Alignment dialog box open caused PC-DMIS to stop working.
    • Fixed an issue where too much time was needed to open the Laser Auto Feature dialog box or the Probe Toolbox when using an HP-L20.8 scanner with the Romer toolkit RDS 4.2.
    • Fixed an issue where laser features lost the referenced point cloud feature when the cursor was moved in the Edit window.
    • Fixed an issue where the NX DCI timed out when it started for the first time; the second attempt worked. The startup procedure now attempts to reconnect multiple times. If it is unable to reconnect after five attempts, an error message appears.
    • Fixed an issue where the gain setting for laser scans did not change correctly.
    • Fixed an issue where CWS surface points were converted into feature- extracted points from a COP when a measurement routine that was created in a version prior to 2016 was opened.
    • Fixed an issue where the computer appeared to lock up when a New Marked Set was created and the inspection routine also included pointcloud commands. 


    2017 R1 Service Pack 1 Fixes and Improvements:

    • Fixed an issue where some critical formatting characters were improperly carried over from English into the Czech, Korean, and Spanish language packs. This issue may have caused PC-DMIS to stop working.
    • Added the Quick Start button to the QuickMeasure toolbar for the Tracker Leica LMF interface.
    • Fixed the following issues:
      • If you double-clicked on the name of a measurement routine in Windows Explorer, PC-DMIS started but the measurement routine did not open.
      • If you used a command prompt window (cmd.exe) or batch file (.bat or .cmd) to start PC-DMIS, and passed the measurement routine's filename as a command line parameter to open it, PC-DMIS started but the measurement routine did not open.
    • Fixed a Tracker issue that occurred after you measured with a T-Probe and then loaded a reflector as the active probe. PC-DMIS incorrectly showed "Busy" mode when it performed a measurement with the reflector.
    • Fixed an issue where the functions could not be selected in the Pointcloud Operator dialog box if no COP object existed. Now, you can select the COPOPER functions and view settings even if no COP exists. A valid COP object must still exist before you can create a COPOPER command.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not properly save an imported CAD file in a measurement routine when the measurement routine was saved and then opened in a new revision of Teamcenter.
    • Fixed an issue where if the Exact Dimension option was enabled for pointcloud cross-sections, the lower (-Tolerance) levels of the dimension color scale were incorrectly set to the same color (the out-of-tolerance on the minus-side color). This was visible when the cross section slide show was enabled. The color scale now displays correctly.
    • Fixed an issue when calculating the Laser Flush and Gap auto feature at a given depth. It was possible, depending on the given depth and the mutual position of the master side and slave side, that relevant points were missed during execution. This caused the flush and gap to not be extracted.
    • Fixed an issue that caused PC-DMIS to stop working when you generated Microsoft Excel output.
    • Fixed an issue with the incorrect license being applied to the Amyuni driver while ensuring that the previous PDF printer device is removed and replaced.
    • Fixed an issue with the pointcloud Surface Colormap operation. Previously, if you selected the No data color check box in the Pointcloud Operator dialog box, the resulting color was always gray regardless of the color you selected. The color that you select is now correctly applied to areas of the CAD where there is no corresponding pointcloud data.
    • PC-DMIS 2017 R1 SP1 supports the RS4 Romer Integrated Scanner. If you use this scanner, Hexagon recommends that you enable the Line Filter option. To enable the option, select the Pointcloud Filtering Plane button on the Pointcloud toolbar or QuickCloud toolbar; the Laser Data Collection Settings dialog box appears.
    • Select the Line Filter check box in the dialog box.
    • Fixed an issue where the annotation points on the pointcloud surface colormap were displayed using the wrong colors when the Dimension Color Scale was set to 200%.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS stopped working during a edit operation after you closed the Find dialog box or Replace dialog box.
    • Fixed an issue where the Size dialog box did not appear in a monitor's viewing area when you changed monitors.
    • Fixed an issue where a Caliper gage could not be created through the "Constrain" axis method if the data was not aligned to a CAD model.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not save the value that you entered for the Nominal option on the Label/Reporting tab in the Gage dialog box when you created a Caliper gage without a CAD model.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS did not update the caliper label in the Graphic Display window when you typed a new ID in the Gage dialog box.
    • Fixed an issue where the Probe Utilities dialog box opened and was visible each time an Automation application represented a probe collection object due to the actual implementation. This may have caused the dialog box to flash with some applications that immediate hide, such as INSPECT. The dialog box no longer flashes when the probe collection object is represented and when the Application.MMSInspectConnected property is set to True.
    • Fixed an issue where the standard message "Do you want to make this ID the default?" did not appear when you changed the name of a caliper.
    • Fixed an issue where subroutines did not correctly pass variables back to the parent measurement routine.
    • Fixed an application error when the Ctrl+Left mouse button was used in the Edit window.
    • Fixed an issue where probing forces specified by a user with an OPTIONPROBE command in the measurement routine were not always used correctly during VFT (Vibration Free Transmission) style of probe calibration.
    • Fixed an issue where section scans were created with a different number of hits than expected.
    • Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS appeared to stop working while tessellating surfaces and the NX DCI appeared to stopped working under certain conditions. This affected a small number of files.
    • Fixed an issue where text in the What's New dialog box was not localized.
    • Fixed an issue where the part model and probe transparency options on the Lighting and Material tabs in the CAD and Graphic Setup dialog box did not work correctly. 
    • Fixed an issue where the Pointcloud cross section feature moved at twice the value of the translation when a Pointcloud cross section within a LOOP command with coordinate translation was used.
    • Fixed an issue where the Romer integrated scanner stopped working when you started a scan in the PC-DMIS Swedish language pack. Also fixed an issue where the measurement routine would not execute when you created an Inspection Plan in the English language and then changed the language to Italian or another language.
    • Fixed an issue where clicking on an FCF dimension embedded in the CAD model after it had been used previously would cause an application crash.
    • Fixed an issue with the depth for the contact "find hole" property when the measurement routine's unit of measure was INCH.
    • Fixed an issue where a part was incomplete when an NX assembly was loaded.
    • PCD-114731 - Fixed an issue where PC-DMIS incorrectly hid the pointcloud after each scan pass when you re-executed an Inspection Plan that had a Pointcloud Surface Colormap. The complete pointcloud now appears when you re-execute an Inspection Plan.
    • Added a tooltip to the Execute Journal File dialog box so that you can view the entire part name.
    • Fixed a looping issue in the NC Fanuc interface.
    • Fixed an issue where the PC-DMIS NC installation directories were not
    • created by default.
    • CTRLRDEFAULTS.dll no longer needs to be registered before starting CNCServer.
